Micellar casein is a dairy protein concentrate containing micellar casein and whey protein in the same ratio as skimmed milk, 80:20. Casein is a source of protein that contributes to the maintenance and growth of muscle mass. Additionally, protein contributes to the maintenance of normal bones. Micellar casein naturally contains a high level of L-glutamine, high level of branched chain amino acids (BCAAs), beta-lactoglobulin, alpha-lactalbumin, glycomacropeptides, immunoglobulin, bovine serum albumin, lactoperoxidase and lactoferrin.
